Introduction to Public Health

This is an introductory course intended to introduce students to the multi-disciplinary aspects of public health. The course will provide a history of public health, an introduction to the core principles and competencies of public health, ethical and legal basis of public health, implementing, monitoring and assessing and carrying out health promotion education and wellness.

DAFI Scholars’ Workshop 2016


Fifty-nine refugee students took part in the just ended DAFI Scholars’ Workshop 2016. Flowers School of Technology and Management in collaboration with UNHCR Ghana and Christian Council of Ghana hosted the two-day workshop in Accra, Ghana. Academic Affiliates from Volda University College, Norway, joined the faculty of Flowers School of Technology and Management in administering the workshop.

Leadership, Democracy and Entrepreneurship

This year’s career-oriented workshop was held under the theme “Leadership, Democracy and Entrepreneurship”, with the purpose of equipping the students with practical leadership and entrepreneurial skills. It concluded successfully with the handing out of certificates by the President of Flowers School of Technology and Management, Dr. David Ako Odoi.
